Our mission
Our mission is simple: empower everyday people to grow food at home, no matter where they live.
We draw deep inspiration from Dr. Carver and his dedication to teaching people how to grow their own food, care for their land, and take control of their futures.
Our foundational philosophy is deeply rooted in the enduring legacy of Dr. George Washington Carver. We draw profound inspiration from his unwavering dedication to empowering individuals through practical knowledge. His tireless efforts to educate farmers, particularly Black farmers in the rural South, on sustainable agricultural practices were revolutionary. Dr. Carver understood the intrinsic link between self-sufficiency in food production, responsible land stewardship, and the ability of individuals and communities to chart their own course. His commitment to accessible education and the belief that everyone deserved the tools to thrive forms the bedrock of our mission.
Mirroring Dr. Carver’s approach, we strive to equip individuals with the knowledge and resources necessary to cultivate their own success and well-being. We believe in fostering a sense of agency and control by providing practical skills and fostering a deep understanding of fundamental principles. Just as Dr. Carver championed the power of the land and the wisdom of nature, we aim to connect people with the resources and insights that will enable them to nurture their own growth and build a more secure future. His spirit of innovation, his commitment to education, and his unwavering belief in the potential of every individual serve as our guiding light.
